INGREDIENTS
4 Slices Sourdough Bread
2 Eggs
¾ Cup Whole Milk
½ Teaspoon Vanilla Bean Powder
¼ Teaspoon Himalayan Pink Salt
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Butter, Plus More to Serve
Maple Syrup
ASSEMBLY
- In a medium sized mixing bowl add the eggs, milk, vanilla bean powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until fully combined.
- Transfer the egg mixture to a large flat bowl or smaller baking dish. This is to ensure that the large pieces of sourdough can lay flat and fully absorb the egg mixture.
- Add the bread to the egg mixture and let the egg absorb for a couple minutes, flip and do the same for the other side.
- Add 2 tablespoons of the butter to a frying pan over medium heat.
- When the butter has melted, add the bread and cook.
- Flip the bread once it’s golden brown and easily removes from the pan.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and easy to remove.
- Top with butter and syrup.
